The New Creative Revolution
Dear Creative Minds,
In the wake of launching my new book, The Creativity In You, I’ve found myself reflecting deeply on the journey that birthed this vision.
What began as a personal revelation in 2013—that creativity isn’t reserved for a select few but lies within every one of us—has now grown into a movement to awaken the hidden genius in others.
And as I celebrate this milestone, I want to speak to someone who might be doubting their worth or questioning if they have what it takes.
You do.
You are enough.
But as someone I deeply respect, Olakunle Soriyan, once said, “Alone, you are enough. But if you want to get more out of you—expressing the fullness of your potential—you’ll need others.”
He put it even more powerfully: “The completion of you is in others.”
This book, and today’s message, is a reminder that not only is your creativity valid—it is vital.
And when we come together, drawing strength and insight from one another, we unlock something far greater than we ever could alone.

In 2013, I stumbled upon a truth that changed everything for me, and I believe it can change everything for you, too: creativity isn’t reserved for the “talented few.” It’s not just the domain of artists, designers, or inventors. Creativity is a natural ability we all carry within us. It’s a human trait, not a title.
That simple realization lit a fire in me.
Suddenly, I could see how many people—young and old—walk through life believing they’re not “creative enough.” Not imaginative. Not visionary. As if creativity is some exclusive club they’ll never get invited to. But I knew that wasn’t true. I’d seen too much potential, too many untapped ideas, and too many people dismissing their gifts out of fear, doubt, or misinformation.
From Discovering Creativity to Activating It
By 2015, my revelation had grown into a mission. I began organizing seminars and workshops for students, focusing on how to activate their creative potential. We talked about purpose, innovation, and how to use creativity not just to express yourself but to transform your life and your society.
I saw sparks ignite. People began to believe again. Believe that they could be changemakers. That their ideas were worth exploring. That creativity wasn’t just a feel-good concept; it was a real, practical power.
Fast forward to 2019, and my own creative journey took a big leap forward. I moved from being a graphic designer to a design strategist. That shift changed how I saw everything. It was like zooming out from a painting and suddenly seeing the whole masterpiece, not just a corner. I realized creativity could be systemized, structured, and applied to complex challenges, from business models to city planning and sustainability to social innovation.
Creativity was no longer just a skill for expression. It had become a tool for transformation.
Why This Book, and Why Now?
The world is changing, and fast.
We’re living in an era defined by artificial intelligence, smart technologies, climate change, and cultural shifts. Innovation isn’t optional anymore. It’s the language of progress. And in the midst of all this, something beautiful is happening: creativity is becoming more essential than ever.
But here’s the catch: most people still don’t see themselves as part of the creative revolution.
That’s why I wrote The Creativity In You: Navigating the Future Landscape of Creativity and Innovation. This isn’t just a book; it’s a call to action. A guide. A companion for visionaries, entrepreneurs, students, and everyday leaders who know there’s something more within them but aren’t quite sure how to tap into it.
